Brandywine Manor House: 10.12.13: Amy and Nathan

Another wonderful wedding day! Amy and Nathan are such a fun couple to be around, and Amy is easily one of the most easy-going brides we've ever had here! We met with Amy earlier this week to confirm some of her final details with her Day of Coordinator (which just so happened to be me!). We discussed the irony of me having just published a blog post about rain on your wedding day during a week where rain was constant! We discussed using the Manor Barn as a backup in the event of rain and even had all the preparations ready for her. In the days leading up to her wedding, each time we contacted Amy about wedding details, we let her know that we were praying the rain held off!

When the day arrived, miraculously, rain wasn't coming down! Everyone was still hoping that after three days of rain, it would stop, the clouds would disappear, and the sun would shine for the ceremony.... and that is exactly what happened! They had their ceremony at the Glen Waterfall just as they'd envisioned. :)

Part of the Day of Coordinator's job is to make sure the entire site looks exactly as the couple has envisioned. This bride and groom worked together to include many personal touches to their wedding day! They incorporated plum, lavender, and blush pink Japanese lanterns and purple uplighting into the Crown Ballroom. These colors made such an impact! We had a blast seeing all of the unique details Amy and Nathan had incorporated into their ceremony and reception. It was absolutely gorgeous!
