What We're Thankful For

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is my favorite time of the year. Leaves are falling, Christmas is coming, and everyone has that grateful spirit. We love this day that is devoted to thankfulness. It is so easy to forget how fortunate we truly are! We are so thankful to so many people for their continual support over the years. You know who you are: Brandywine Manor House is truly indebted to you!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we want to briefly share with you some of our biggest areas of thanks.

First, we are so grateful to our Lord for continuing to bless us. 2013 was an amazing year. We had incredible brides and grooms and multiple additions to the venue. We were also blessed by seeing two of our own marry here at BMH, followed by two more little additions to the family. We pray that He continues to bless us as we head into 2014.

Second, we are undoubtedly grateful for the opportunity to work among family. As many of you know or have read in past blog posts, BMH is 100% family owned and operated. All the workers you see on your wedding day? They're all related (so be nice). It is an atmosphere that is always changing and evolving, but always for the better. As our family grows, so do our employees! :) Our employees are dedicated - not just to BMH - but to making your day a success. Many of you have gotten to know Nancy, the head Event Coordinator here. If you've spoken with her for more than a few minutes, you've probably recognized her undying love of weddings. She completely loves what she does and channels that love into her job. I'm excited to report that that "undying love" has been passed down to me, her daughter, and the (2nd in command) Event Coordinator. I'm the one that acts as the Coordinator for those that choose that service, which means I get to tear up at the back of every wedding (sad, but true). I speak for myself, my siblings and our husbands and wives in saying that we have some of the most amazing bosses and parents on the planet, and we are so grateful for them.

In an attempt to keep this short, I'm going to get to the main point: you - ladies and gentlemen, brides and grooms - we are thankful for you. You are the reason that we work to make this venue beautiful, that we are constantly thinking up new additions and improvements, and that we love weddings. We are so thankful that we get to know some of you on personal levels. As a Day Of Coordinator, I get to work with the brides and grooms the entire month before their wedding - nailing down final details and helping to manage stress. It's a job that I love. Every single wedding is different and we love that we get to experience that alongside of you. So thank you.

As we end this post (it's turkey time!), we want to ask you a question: What are you thankful for this year? We want to know! Leave us a comment or feel free to send us a private message. We want to celebrate along with you. :)

Happy Thanksgiving, brides and grooms. Thank you for making our job so enjoyable.
